Here's an idea. How about a separation of education and state in a manner similar to a separation of religion and state. In this way every parent could educate their children in the way they want to. I certainly do not want to force any of my ideas on another person (or their children) any more than I would want another person to force his ideas on me (or my children). If you think that government schools are not forcing ideas, then you do not understand what the fundamental purpose of government is. Ideas are far too important to our lives (they are fundamental) for the government to ever be involved in their transmission. If you take it's formulations to their logical conclusions, that is exactly what the Declaration of Independence was stating.
